Vision on Fire | FAQ

How would you describe your style?

Creative, fresh and energetic. I shoot documentary style and as unobtrusively as possible, rarely stage things for the camera and work closely with the photographers who tend to “run the show”. I am there to record the day as it occurs and not create things for the camera.

Why use our services?

Because our videography is highly professional, cut and tailored to your requests, our rates are extremely competitive in comparison with other companies. My background as a videographer, editor and avid film buff will all come into play when it comes to creating your final video. Additionally, I am flexible to meet your needs and customize your DVD and as well as its packaging.

Who shoots the weddings?

The weddings are all shot and edited by myself, Ian Badenhorst and assistants. However, if I get double booked on a particular day, I’ll send out an extra videographer to cover the second wedding. I personally choose all the videographers I work with to ensure the end product is consistent.

Is your service guaranteed?

Yes, the exact terms and conditions are in my contract.

What if I miss something?

I always do my best to capture everything without distracting any of your guests. That being said, if you know that you want a particular moment on tap, let me know in advance. (For example: Get the centerpieces on the head table or make sure to get footage of my grandparents getting seated.)

How much control do we have in the editing process?

If you have a particular request for something out of the ordinary I try to accommodate that. But most weddings follow a natural flow of events.

Can we see a sample?

I have wedding video clips loaded on this site. Please visit the blog section. I also provide free samples on DVD.(On request)

How long will the final video be?

Average wedding videos are about 70 minutes in length.

What kind of setup do you need?

Ideally, having the ability to freely move in both the church and reception hall produces the best footage. However, I’m flexible and able to shoot in all types of environments.

How soon after the wedding will we get the video?

My turn around time is generally between five – ten weeks after the wedding.

What are your payment and contingency policies?

A deposit is needed to confirm booking. The remaining balance is due 2 days prior to the wedding date.

Do you provide additional lighting if necessary?

On request, yes. However I strongly advise against dimming the lights during the dancing or toasts at the reception.
